St Austell, the brewer and pub operator, is seeking a site in Bristol or London to launch a new pub, restaurant and retail concept called the Cornish Embassy.

The company, which operates a total of 169 pubs throughout Cornwall, Devon, the Isles of Scilly and Somerset, wants to open a site in either city to showcase Cornish beers, food and produce.

The group had previously looked for a pub site in the capital as far back as 2009, but it has now widened its search to include Bristol.

It has instructed property advisor DMR to secure a suitable 5,000sq ft site for the new venture.
