The awards champion local eateries and recognise great food and service at UK dining establishments.

Nominations are collected from the public across 10 regions with the criteria that venues should be independently run and offer regional or local produce where possible. Each region will have a winner through nominations before judges whittle them down to crown an overall champion.

Pub operators can encourage their diners to nominate their venue at www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/awards or by making official postcards available during the nomination period of 13 February to 23 April.
