Pierre White is currently fighting Andrew Parton and Peter Maxwell over what he claims is his share of the restaurant used to film his 2008 series Marco's Great British Feast.
Until the beginning of last year, the site in Highclere was known as Marco Pierre White's Yew Tree Inn.
The dispute dates back to 2005 when Pierre White took a 30% stake in the pub and agreed to let it use his name. The case, which is reportedly set to go to court, revolves around claims that Pierre White was frozen out of the investment after a share reorganisation in 2008.
The site’s owners have now asked Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) to sell the freehold of the 17th century pub with offers sought in excess of £1.65m. The current owners purchased the freehold property in 2005.
The pub has eight boutique letting rooms, two separate dining areas and extensive grounds popular with guests booking weddings and large functions.
