The Chew Magna pub gained a star last January, retained it in October, and has “never been so busy”.

Chef/owner Josh Eggleton said around 50 copies have been sold through the pub so far. It includes six of the pub’s most popular classic recipes from over the past year, as well as thoughts from Eggleton and accounts of pub life. Recipes include smoked salmon terrine with leeks and confit potatoes.

Eggleton said: “The book is a commemorative thing for the past year. It includes recipes and a bit about what we’ve been up to — it was a pretty full-on year.”

The book costs £13.99.
