Pubs have proved their family-friendly credentials in the first ever Harden's Eating Out With Babies And Toddlers guide.
Of the 1,000 venues across the UK, which are listed in the guide as being accessible for parents with children, 102 pubs are highlighted.
Guide editor Peter Harden, in conjunction with the sponsors baby food company Plum Baby, picked out the Ribble Valley Inns owned Three Fishes in Mitton as the top pub to dine out with a baby or toddler.
Another Ribble Valley Inns pub the the Bull at Broughton, North Yorkshire, also gets a listing in the guide for its family-friendly credentials.
Other famous pubs listed include London pubs the Avalon in Balham and the Bolingbroke in Battersea - both owned by Renaissance Pubs.
The Morning Advertiser top 50 Gastro pub winners the Hardwick in Abergavenny, Hinds Head in Bray and the Angel at Hetton, also make the listing.
The guide was launched as it was revealed that 31 per cent of parents have been snubbed by food venue while with their young family and 92% claim they struggle to find a family-friendly venue when they are out.
Other problems regularly encountered included a lack of entertainment in restaurants for babies and toddlers (91 per cent), a lack of baby-changing facilities (85 per cent) and no high chairs (76 per cent).
The 1,000 venues were selected by Harden's after recommendations from its annual survey of over 8,000 restaurant-goers and selecting from the best-equipped and most child-friendly entries in its existing guides.
