EBLEX revamps website to help and inspire pub chefs

EBLEX has added tools to its marketing website making it a one-stop shop for customers.

The website ( ) also boasts improved navigation plus range of features including butchery demonstration videos. A total 22 videos have been added to the site demonstrating beef and lamb cuts to help educate chefs and butchers on how to make more of the carcases and add value using seam cutting techniques.

Links are included to each of the demonstrated cuts in the Cutting Specification Manual and Meat Purchasing Guide. This enables users to access the relevant pages in the books for step-by-step instructions. A yield and costing tool accompanies most of the cuts.

Digital marketing executive for EBLEX, Sally Crowther, said: "Retaining all of the popular tools and resources, such as retail prices, costing calculators and hundreds of recipes, the site also carries a wealth of industry information and knowledge transfer guides for our Quality Standard Mark Scheme members and other visitors to use.

"Other improvements such as the implementation of drop-down menus have also been installed, allowing for quick access to other areas of the site including the counter merchandising tool for retailers, sous vide recipes for chefs and the point-of-sale materials which are available to members of our Quality Standard Mark Scheme."

There are also links to social media sites for users to share features with friends.
