The Treby Arms, in Sparkwell, Devon – one of three pubs to gain a new Michelin star in the 2015 guide released last month – has seen advance bookings treble since winning the accolade.

The couple also opened a second site the Springer Spaniel in Launceston, Cornwall, in January.

Clare Piotrowski said: “We are over the moon to have got the Michelin star. Bookings have increased by treble.

“We allow six months in advance for bookings. We have been in all the national papers as well as the local papers and the local news, which has also had a great impact.”
