Sharing is caring: Slug & Lettuce launches new menu
Stonegate-operated pub chain Slug & Lettuce is expanding its vegetarian and sharing plates offer.

Rolling out across 77 sites on Wednesday (10 May), the new evening menu will carry meat-free main dish options including grilled halloumi salad, butternut squash lasagne and asparagus & pea ravioli priced at £8.29.

A new £15.49 vegetarian sharing board – comprising mini bean burgers, omelette sticks, beer-battered onion rings, tempura vegetables, crispy jalapenos, olives, tomato and avocado, skinny fries, ciabatta and dips – has also been added.

Sharing boards

New meat selections include chicken Caesar tortilla salad (£9.89) and meat and fish sharing boards priced £16.49 and £17.49 respectively.

The brand has also extended its small plates offer, which costs £18 for five dishes or £12 for three.

Warm chorizo in honey and cider sauce, hot mustard rarebit, lightly spiced barbecue chicken skewers and cured meat antipasti have also been added to capitalise on the demand for sharing plates, it said.

Meanwhile, the small plates section of the daytime menu now includes tempura vegetables, fried jalapeno slices and salt & pepper shrimp bombs.

Other highlights include a new Sweet & Petite dessert range featuring choices that include cookie crumb profiteroles and zesty lemon tart wedges for £2.99 or two for £5, and three new drinks: Skinny Absolut Lime & Soda, Skinny Gancia Leggero Prosecco and Baileys Iced Latte.

'Accessible menu'

“Our team works hard year on year to ensure that we are offering an accessible menu to our customers to cater for all reasons to visit,” Samantha Maynard, head of marketing for Slug & Lettuce said.

“With the launch of this menu, we are confident that the combination of our fantastic offers, and enticing drinks and dishes will see us maintain our position as the go-to high street destination.”

Value deals will continue to run throughout the week including ‘Happy Mondays’ a daytime 50% off food offer and  ‘Wine Down Wednesday’ offering selected bottles of wine or Gancia Dry Prosecco for £12.
