Massive pub burger 'does a Kardashian' and gets more than a million hits on facebook page.

The Rural Lancashire pub, the Farmers Arms in Burscough, has doubled trade and taken the internet by storm after creating the 10,000 calorie burger.

Manager Phil Martin dreamt up the Haystack challenge, which consists of 40oz of mincemeat, 6 rashers of bacon, 8 onion rings, cheese,2lb of skinny fries, coleslaw and a milkshake, as a way of driving trade on quieter nights.

A picture of the monster feast posted to Facebook attracted over a million hits in one day and has been liked by over 3,000 people.

Martin told the Publican’s Morning Advertiser:  “Burgers have become so popular and we wanted to jump on the bandwagon and take it to the extreme. It’s absolutely exploded-we’ve been inundated with calls, it’s gone viral on the internet and trade has doubled.”
