A Leicester pub that recently made headlines with a massive 3,500-calorie Christmas eating challenge has created a new ‘unbeatable’ burger challenge for its customers.

Staff at the Gravity, Hinckley, created the burger, which includes a 900g patty, over a kilogram of chilli con carne, three chicken breasts, four rashers of bacon, four hash browns, cheese and a 400g bun.

Becci List, manager of the Gravity, told the Hinckley Times: “We are challenging people to come and give it a go if they dare.

“We think it is possible – one man came very close last week, but he just couldn’t squeeze the last bit down.”

The burger is served alongside 16 beer battered onion rings as well as coleslaw and salad. It costs £13.99, but diners who manage to finish it will pay nothing.

This isn’t the first time the Gravity has put on such a challenge.

It recently offered customers the chance to try their hand at a Christmas dinner featuring two kilograms of turkey, eight pigs in blankets, 11 Yorkshire puddings, over a kilogram of roast potatoes, vegetables and a jug of gravy.

It contained more than 15 times the recommended daily amount of fat and salt.

Lancashire pub the Farmers Arms, Burscough, ‘broke the internet’ in June 2015, when it created its own massive burger challenge, getting over a million hits on its Facebook page.
