Toque d'Or: 25th year

Nestlé Professional has launched a work placement initiative to encourage employers to look to the young talent involved in the annual Nestlé Toque d’Or.

The Take One initiative marks the 25th anniversary of the competition and aims to help competing students into the workplace. It is open to all taking part in the 2013 competition. The eight teams that reach the final will be offered a week-long placement with contract caterer CH&Co.

"We know the industry already recognises Nestlé Toque d’Or as a mark of the highest standards," said Nestlé Professional managing director Neil Stephens. "Our ambition through Nestlé Toque d’Or "Take One" is to create an opportunity for the industry to benefit from the best of the country’s catering colleges and give the next generation a helping hand as they look to begin their careers.

"We’re asking you to ‘take one’ of our students and create an opportunity for them. Together, we can help shape the careers of the next generation and help them break into an industry that is still creating jobs and opportunities."
