Pubs are launching a new range of meal deals and events to capitalise on Father’s Day on Sunday, 18 June.

Whitbread-owned Brewers Fayre has launched an initiative called “Dad is a Big Deal”. The meal deal offers two courses for £11.99 or three for £13.99. Starters include garlic and herb breaded mushrooms and southern chicken goujons. Dads and their families can tuck into either the Sunday roast or Sunday carvery depending on the site. Desserts include Belgian waffle, warm chocolate brownie and profiteroles.

Greene King’s Hungry Horse chain is running promotions all day, from breakfast to evening meal. It is offering a Father’s Day Sunday brunch from 9am, with a free drink offer if they order all-day breakfast or an 8oz rump steak with eggs and chips.

During Sunday lunch, they are asking people to challenge their dad to eat the quadzilla burger. Dads will also be able to eat free at the evening meal after 6pm. Prices will depend on the Hungry Horse venue.

Mitchells & Butlers Vintage Inns has also launched a three course meal deal, with prices starting from £19.50. Items on the menu include starters of prawn and lobster cocktail, oven-baked button and portobello mushrooms and salt and pepper calamari. Mains include roast pork loin, roast breast of turkey, steak and mushroom pie and roasted vegetable tart, while desserts include Belgian chocolate brownie and apple and blackberry crumble. Dads are also being treated to a free pint of Doom Bar.
