The BeerDogs brand comprises beef, pork or vegetarian hotdogs with a choice of toppings served in a warm sub with fries or Cajun fries.

The toppings represent countries competing in the upcoming Six Nations rugby union tournament and, since they went on sale at the start of the year, around 200 have sold per venue (Marylebone, Victoria, Farringdon and Waterloo) per week. Dogs on offer include the London Dog with bacon and sautéed onions (£10.95).

"Our future plan is to offer the BeerDogs from kiosks and other outlets while increasing the range of dogs and toppings, and we are looking at locations around stations in London," said sales director Jane White.

"Flavours will change for different events. We are looking at more exotic dogs we can serve, such as crocodile and ostrich eventually. We intend to roll it out as a national brand."
