From Lord's to 'the Lane', there is an eclectic variety of sport over the August bank holiday weekend.

Cricket: England v Pakistan (Saturday, 27 August, 10.30am) – Sky Sports 2

After England secured a comfortable win in the first one-day international this week, Pakistan will be aiming to level the series in the second match at Lord's. As ever with the cricket, the loyal viewers will look to be quietly absorbed by a full day's action for this clash.

Football: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool (Saturday, 27 August, 12.30pm) – Sky Sports 1

Saturday is our first chance to see Tottenham in action after their title challenge came up short last season. The opposition is a Liverpool side that has been entertaining and erratic in equal measure so far this season. The meeting of these two teams should see a healthy lunchtime crowd to kick off the bank holiday weekend's football.

Formula 1: Belgian Grand Prix (Saturday, 27 August, 1pm for qualifying, and Sunday, 28 August, 1pm for the race) – Sky Sports F1

After a four-week summer break, Formula 1 returns. After winning six of the previous seven races, Lewis Hamilton will hope to maintain his dominance over team-mate Nico Rosberg and extend his 19-point lead at the top of the championship. As ever with the Spa track though, it is never going to be that simple.

Football: Manchester City v West Ham (Sunday, 28 August, 4pm) – Sky Sports 1

Manchester City will be looking to keep up their impressive start under Pep Guardiola by overcoming a West Ham side that is yet to replicate the thrills of last season. Sundays on a bank holiday weekend are always a bonus day for pub and the public, and this entertaining clash can only help that boost in trade.

Football: Monaco v Paris Saint-Germain (Sunday, 28 August, 7.45pm) – BT Sport 2

Two games into the season and PSG do not seem to be missing talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, thanks to two victories. This intriguing Sunday-night match represents their first significant challenge of the season and a chance for them to show that they are about more than just Zlatan.
