RE: Health minister hits back at trade

You can find it on www.freedom2choose.co.uk feel free to post the link here, Jon won't of course read it and claims that it was the reporters comment and not that of Ms Arnott or Ian Willmore, but he would wouldn't he. the link http://society.guardian.co.uk/health/story/0,,1823348,00.html Fraud by the Pharmacists. It seems that the success of smoking cessation products could be even lower that the 14% acknowledged by ASH if a widespread fraud is indeed uncovered. The story. http://society.guardian.co.uk/health/news/0,,1979226,00.html

Thank you Robert for denouncing cheaters and poll riggers from TBD site. You are a well respected leader of opnion from that site so I do expect guidance from you regarding cheating. The thread is continuing so a short reminder about lying and cheating would put a stop to that.

RE: Health minister hits back at trade

Jon, you are typical of the anti smoker cult. You cause a fuss over nothing and have no comment to make on a £61 million fraud? If you tried reading some of the links people post you might just learn something. I dont suppose you will read this either, but I will post it for the benefit of others.

This new study clearly shows that traffic pollution is far more deadly than tobacco smoke. It is responsible for hundreds of thousands of real deaths. Not the statistical kind your type bleat on about endlessly. And can you explain just how throwing smokers out on the street is good for ANYONES health, after reading this?

SHS is harmless to 99.99% of the worlds population.

Are you learning yet?

RE: Health minister hits back at trade

Jon, I denounce all cheats and riggers, you yet again chose to be selective in your post. ASH, CRUK, HMG, DoH are all riggers and cheats and I denounce them without hesitation. You are yet again Jon losing any credibility and showing yourself up for someone who has no contact or link to the industry. Oh and I have just a little bad news for you. F2C has had full access, management and control of TBD for a couple of months. Our people have almost completed their tracking of YOU. We will be publishing who you really are shortly. Have a good new year.

You say  "Our people have almost completed their tracking of YOU. We will be publishing who you really are shortly. Have a good new year"

I am a smart bloke Robert, that means nothing. "Have a good new year"

Robert, as you know, there is so much wasted money, corruption, and lies, why is it the only paper who dare to allow some truth to be told, is the advertiser.  Anything else and it would be splattered on the front pages of the national newspapers. I will not buy papers until they start by uncovering the lies that are freely being spouted.  It is scary.

I believe ASH said millions would give up last no-smoking day, so I wonder how many did, or how much money was raked in with fraud.  Seems to me their exaggeration is to the fraudsters advantage.

Do Doctors get given incentives to push the nico patches, just out of interest?

RE: Health minister hits back at trade

Wonderful, Scottish publicans are saying no smoking in pubs has been bad for business. Irish publicans have said it before and consumption figures of alchohol in licensed premises in Ireland have gone down. Enjoy this Xmas in England and Wales because next year there will probably be far less of us here to debate the point. As someone else pointed out in our attempts to stay alive we'll pour millions of pounds as a whole into the garden furniture industry and the like in an attempt to keep our regular customers who enjoy a pint and a chat at the bar. Some smoke, some do not, but even those who don't smoke will stop coming out because their smoking friends no longer enjoy coming out and drink at home with cheap 'below cost price alchohol' or because the new non smoking masses still refuse to come out or change their lifestyle in any way, so there will be no one at the bar to talk to, or for that instance in the new outside smoking areas.

The politician, Andy Kerr on the other hand who is a Scottish MSP and therefore paid to represent the views of his constituents with their taxes insists that it is not about business but saving lives. If it is about saving lives, just ban tobacco full stop, though even if that were done it would still be at least 60 years or 3 generations before all effects of tobacco were eradicated. Still if there were a free vote by the people of this country I still believe the non smokers would win because at least 75% of the adult population are non smokers. I sincerely hope that in 12 months time we are here celebrating our best Xmas ever, but sadly I don't think so. Mr Kerr may even have to accept a salary cut soon in line with the reduced taxes that are available to pay his wage.

Happy New Year all

Cut and paste from the same thread Robert,

Is this from another one of your brilliant mathemticians/scientists?

You can't say you don't know about it now either. Maybe you should tell Pete the cheat that you don't approve. Is that what you meant by people scouring the www, are they looking for polls to doctor?

Another Poll Please can we have your support on this poll as well, local rags got the usual bee in its bonnet http://www.portsmouthtoday.co.uk/ Current standing 28/12/06 21:09; Watch the wording people. Will the smoking ban persuade you to go to the pub... 50% More often? 24% Less often? 26% Make no difference? Yours Pete edit PS. at a guess less tha 50 votes in total so far as I have voted twice and got a 2% shift each time
