RE: Hey Jo club still flouting ban

Bill

I googled and I found.  Sadly, I found it through another link to you advertising for free on the Herald newspaper forum.

Dr  Boswell doesn't say it reduces cross infection rates by 96%, he says putting powerful air filtration systems into patient isolation rooms reduces the amount of MRSA bacteria they cough and sneeze out from settling on surfaces within the isolation room.

The doctors and nurses still have to practice barrier techniques and have high standards of handwashing and infection control to stop spreading the infection.

If you are going to quote a 10 line medical article to advertise your wares, at least get it right and not mislead people.  Or why not pay for your adverts like everyone else?

David

Can you find any instances where I've resorted to name calling?

And what exactly is 'childish' in my recent posts?

It's amazing how Jon and Alan have a problem with facts. It seems that correcting the assertion that aliging with UKIP,despite my saying I 100% supported and still do, is unacceptable and  is difficult for them to comprehend. I am not currently involved with F2C as everyone knows, therefore it is not for me to make comment. All I would say is that the JR is very much alive. As for my relationship with Tony Blows, it is unfortunate that he expressed the views he did. I do not condem him for that. He has been under a tremendous amount of pressure and it does seem that he was facing this very much on his own. As I said in a previous post I wish both him and Kaz well. I have absolutely no animousity towards him whatsoever.

Alan, Tim as Senior Microbiologist has carried out the tests on C Dif as has the Health Protection Agency, Porton Down who on their results show that 92.8% of the bacteria can be removed by Air Filtration... only those and such as those however can access these documents by subscription and pass words and you are not one of them ha, ha . I will take pity on you annd give you this link to further your education on the subject matter.

and yet another

http://www.dstl.gov.uk/news_events/press/pr2002/05-11-02.php  this is further proof that HMG has suppressed vital information that proves technology can offer real solutions.

Bill

You are misleading people again, or you simply misunderstand.

I'm guessing that your subscription only documents show that 92.8% of bacteria in air can be removed by your products.  Trouble is that most of the bacteria are spread by direct and indirect contact and never get into the air , therefore removing 92.8% of the ones that do get airborne is only a very small part of the response needed to reduce their spread.

Here's the official word from the Health Protection Agency site  on how you catch cdif, and spread in the air isn't mentioned.

There's no need to take pity on me, I obviously understand the issue far better than you do. (And I'm not trying to sell anything)

Robert

I have no problem with facts, as long as they are accurate and not misleading.

Your original posting on UKIP was a bit vague, certainly indicating you were less that sold on the idea at the start "As for UKIP, it's amazing what short memories people have. UKIP was never my idea, I just followed it through when it was suggested."

There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you are fully behind them now, as I found yesterday when I clicked an old link to www.freedom2choose.co.uk .

Its very pink, but good luck to you!

But as I have said Alan, I have access to the results of their laboratory tests that show clearly defined results. You are not authorised to be able to gain that same access....

I liken your argument to the 45 minute warning and weapons of mass distruction that Blair trumpeted, there is only so much data that HMG will allow out for public consumption and you have had your fill.

RE: Hey Jo club still flouting ban

Yes Bill, but not everything gets airborne and in a place where your filters can clean it.

Airborne spread of c dif is so insignificant that it doesn't even rate a mention in the health agency page that I posted a link to earlier.

You could put your filters into every ward of every hospital in the land and still have c dif spreading like wildfire if they don't get the basic hygiene right.

Why don't you ask your professor?  He'll confirm I'm right.

Don't forget Bill that, like me, a lot of readers of this forum will have covered basic microbiology on a food hygiene course and know exactly what to do to stop the spread of illnesses like staph aureus (of which MRSA is a family member) and clostridium perfringens (which is closely related to c dif).  You trying to tell us that they spread mainly in the air is plainly wrong, and your lack of understanding won't be helping you sell ventilation systems.
