RE: Licensee fined for flouting smoking ban The ban is not working, there are loads of smoke-easys, knock 3 times to gain entry, when will this government wake up to the fact that people will continue to smoke rather than be dictated to. At the end of the day smoking tobacco is perfectly legal and condoned for sale by government, they even discuss and agree the ingrediants with the tobacco companies. If tobacco is the killer they say it is then why is it on sale! This government bowed down to anti smoking organisations without a thought or care of the consequences to businesses like pubs. All they have achieved is smoking is now done in secret, and the blackmarket is flourishing because of the high price of tobacco. They say tobacco smells, this government stinks. These atrocities you are suffering just get worse and worse. Now your council and police have a shoot to kill policy for breaches of the smoking ban.
