O’Hagan claims that most pubs are slashing prices after the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) withdrew its code on promotions last month.

O'Hagan: Pubs are irresponsible "Much acclaimed journalist" is he? Not by me, he isn't!! Hyped ill-researched clap-trap does not come from the highly acclaimed. Perhaps the Telegraph should be as rare in pubs as the Daily Wail has become, since its anti-pubs tirades! John Ellis Crown Inn, Oakengates This post replies to this thread |

O'Hagan: Pubs are irresponsible I had no idea he was an author, let alone a prize winning one. He is so out of touch with modern pubs his opinion is worthless. "perhaps a blood red pair of Mad Dog 20/20s [two for the price of one] would more accurately summon the present atmosphere." Hands up anybody who still stocks 20/20. They died out in about the mid 90's at the latest. Alcopops, who sells very many of those and at minimum prices? How many pubs are "Open All Hours"? Very slanted view This post replies to this thread |
