News Article Comments : S&N to distribute Tiger Beer in UK

Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) has reached an agreement to exclusively import, market and distribute Tiger Beer in the UK from 2 March 2009.

Tiger Beer is currently distributed by Tiger Export, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asia Pacific Breweries (APB).

"Tiger already enjoys a loyal consumer following in the UK and it is widely regarded as the Far East’s most stylish premium beer," said S&N UK speciality brands director Jonathan Townsend.

"By accessing S&N’s on and off trade distribution network, Tiger will now be able to realise its massive potential in this market."

APB deputy regional director James Wong added: "We are very pleased to have signed this agreement with Scottish & Newcastle UK and believe this marks a strategic move for Tiger Beer in the UK.

"The company has a formidable track record of nurturing and developing great brands and we are confident that their rich experience and understanding of the UK beer market will take Tiger to the next level of success in this market
