Gilbert, I have it on good authority that the top Clown posting here currently as thursk, is in fact suffering from multiple personality disorder! He's been appearing under a number of different names, such as Heaven, Rawlings, Robert, Colin Matlock, and probably Sam Bailey and so on!!! I understand he's a junky and could even be teddy turpin of enterprise, a deranged individual in need of medical help! |

The BBPA is paid for by punch and enterprise. We don't know exactly how much?....It's huge amounts!!! That woman simmonds is paid using punch and enterprise monies. However, these two beer sharks make their millions in turn by fleecing around 20,000 hard working tenants! They do so using their exploitative beer tie. BBPA does not represent thousands of lessees and tenanats, running small pub businesses. Rather BBPA represents punch and enterprise! The BBPA ought not be allowed into these discussions, on grounds of merit! The poop co beer tie stifles progress in the pub industry. If an industry can not make progress, then it will die, as it's happening already. We should all fight to have the ethos of free trading returned to this rather unique British industry and have the Beer Tie outlawed immediately! |

I was impressed with the proceedings yesterday. It's encouraging to see there was all party support to remove the Beer Tie! The simplest way to deal with this rather nasty pubco beer tie is to: ....update the BEER ORDER 1989, by closing the loopholes left behind, which is now being fully exploited by punch and enterprise. Let's reinstate the spirit of the Beer Order, by removing the present beer tie, imposed by these two property outfits. |

GMB: pub industrial action is last resort > RE: GMB: pub industrial action is last resort
...Kenny emphasised that the GMB’s campaign for a fairer deal for tenants is now a political matter... Kenny is absolutely correct here, the exploitative beer tie in the hands of a bunch of property charlatans is a political matter, as was dealing with the Loan Sharks! There's however a powerful precedent available here which could in fact serve to educate and lead the politicians to the right and speedy solution, and that is the glorious BEER ORDER 1989!!! It's high time that the Beer Order got updated and reformed, so that it can adequately deal with the menace of the poopco beer tie, which is stifling the trade and is a barrier to progress, costing the economy millions!!! I feel encouraged and somewhat hopeful that if anyone can deliver what we want, ie the removal of the cancer of the punch and enterprise beer tie, that GMB can and will. I have to say I am impressed with the efforts GMB and Kenny have put in already, and their achievement so far. They're progressing the matter in a sure footed and intelligent manner. THANKS to GMB and to Kenny! |

RE: Enterprise Inns to auction off 11 NE pubs > RE: Enterprise Inns to auction off 11 NE pubs
Richard, that's quite and apt question! According to enterprise inns, the average was £500,000??? I wouldnt be surprised if enterprise shareholders felt they were being treated a bit like a baby treats the diaper!! |

BBPA threatens GMB with legal injuction > BBPA threatens GMB with legal injuction
Could the MA please move to publish the last three years financial accounts of the BBPA, and its employees benefits averaging above £30K. I am interested to discover who has paid how much and when, and who has taken how much and when, and lots and lots more detailed questions. Can I also ask GMB to commission an open investigation into the affairs and the business conduct of this outfit the BBPA, and its paid managers, to determine if illegalities have happened? Particular attention ought to be paid to the movement of cash and subsequent claims made on behalf of the UK brewery industry? In addition, the merit and accuracy of statements and assertions made by the BBPA, in order to influence government policy, ought to be fully investigated. Surely the BBPA people have nothing to hide? |
