What's the betting that the price of Adnams beers will rise by 4% despite Adnams freezing their prices? |

RE: Admiral tenants offered cheap beer deals > RE: Admiral tenants offered cheap beer deals
Punch did this a couple of years ago - as long as you bought Carlsberg at their "discounted" price and advertised you were selling it at their nominated price, all was ok. Except that your GP was slashed to 37%! |

Pub shares > Pub shares
A Punch pub near me closed last year and has the usual "business opportunity" sign outside but has never made it onto their website and, I suspect, never made it onto their closed pubs either. |

You can guarantee they will walk away with a damn sight more than the "customers" they have forced out of their homes. |

Punch: BRM jobs are safe > Punch: BRM jobs are safe
Yes they do get commission, hence they try to get you to take on extra deals on the "visits". One confessed this when Poker was becoming the "in" pub game and Punch wanted their partners to take it up. Telesales are also on commission hence offering you deals when they phone for your beer order. |

Punch redevelops customer training > RE: Punch redevelops customer training
Ha ha ha. If they were that dedicated the could get the course sponsored and provide it for free but there again, you don't get nothing for nothing from them. |

'Pubco model not working well' > 'Pubco model not working well'
How can Rob Heyward say that the freetrade has the highest rate of closures but not know the failure rate of tenants? If he doesn't know how many tenants have failed how can he know that more free traders have failed!! He also states that the beer tie means they are committed to the success of their business - they are committed to their shareholders. If they bothered about their lessees half as much as their shareholders perhaps the trade wouldn't be in quite such a mess. |

Young's to relaunch beers > Young's to relaunch beers
Why can't they spend the launch money on reducing the price they charge their tied lessees? My local has reduced the price of Courage Best keg but not cask! As they brew it, why can't they reduce the price they sell it to their lessees for so the lessee can sell it on cheaper! |

RE: 'Punch tenants earn 70% above average wage' > RE: 'Punch tenants earn 70% above average wage'
If you can earn that much why aren't Punch fighting off would be lessees? If life is really that rosy, they wouldn't have so many pubs shut!! |
