Naturally there are changes that have to happen to this industry and the fundamental change will be no more leases or only those with eye watering rents. You wanted the end of the tie and thats how its going to happen. Better go and raid your piggy banks for your mortgage deposit. |

no insult intended, just an objective view. I have no questions to answer but those who are leading others to the pot of iron pyrites with removal of the tie certainly do. I'm curious as to why the vaunted fairpint have not commented at all on the BRULINES COURT CASE thread. This is a very important issue and yet they say nothing. |

Sorry fellas but if none of you know at least one tied licencee who is doing very well then you're lying. My buddy earns wheelbarrows of dosh because he doesn't waste his time moaning about his pubco and he's VERY good at what he does. You bleat about the tie day in and day out but the reality is that when the tie goes, so will you. UB40's are in a dispenser by the exit door. |

To be fair, fairpint need all the support they can get because when it all goes belly up they can blame it all on someone else. You guys need a reality check and quick. Would I be correct in saying that real-ale drinkers are in the massive MINORITY of pub goers? Yes of course. Next issue please. |

its a ten year lease, rent increase based on inflation only. The pubco couldn't give a fig about increasing the rent because of the level of product he sells and he gets the discounts. Its called doing good business. The guy is a sharpie and ensured that his contract was watertight. The pub is wet led and the rent is £1700 a month. The secret is no secret at all. He gives the customers exactly what they want. Perhaps others should try it sometime. |
