Suddenly bookings for our function room in our tied pub have died a death.... Usually its booked at least onece a week but looking at the diary there are no bookings for August and Sept!!!!! Does anyone have any ideas or plans they have used to advertise thier function rooms? Long shot but the fnction room trade keeps food and a roof over our heads.... cheers guys

we hold a rock n roll club once a month specalising in edwardian style(ted's) there's also rockabilly jive and elvis, fortunately the organiser is one of my customers so he took the risk while i supplied the room for free. it been running 3 years now. it has taken a hammering in the last few months but then everything has. Not sure where you are but a company has been advertising in our local paper requiring function rooms for either a Friday or Saturday nights. Its called 'singles scene' or something like that. Liam we have worked with alot of our customers to help them increase their revenues through the use of The Entertainer, which we provide. In some pubs the function room has been a fantastic revenue earner, not waiting for outside bookings, but enabling the pub to organise their own events, whilst running the pub normally. So events such as Bingo, Quizzes and even Afternoon Tea Dances for the pensioner community have been very successful. We have an example of a leasehold pub from one of the major pubcos, increasing their revenue from £7k per week to £17k per week! through using The Entertainer in their function room.
