RE: Smoke ban fight group closes in on finances

Well the on good thing, if it goes ahead is that at least the facts will aired in court in front of people who are not influenced by political and minority pressure groups and not corrupted by pc politically motivated social engineering concepts.

Something this government has been terrified of happening because the law is still outside their sphere of influence (just!).

A mystery 'multi - millionaire'............ What will the F2C brigade make up next to get some publicity. If it's not Colin using phrases such as Jihadists, ASHites etc or Bill trying hard to flog his extractors, which is tedious enough, we now have Uncle Bob schmoozing 'multi-millionaires' for cash.

I wonder in what currency this mystery millionaire holds his fortune? I bet in the land of make believe sterling doesn't even exist.

“The person concerned

whilst being a non-smoker himself, nevertheless believes that such ban

will be bad for business and is not fair. “We can only hope he will provide some of the funds we need.” I fail to see the merit or otherwise of whether this chap smokes or not. His interest is laid bare by his belief that the ban will be bad for business. Not fair? Hope its no win no .fee

Predictable sour grapes from the Jihadists .

I have never used the term Ashites, as a little back reading will confirm. I use the term Jihadi because your mindset is just like theirs. An unhealthy desire to eradicate a portion of society without any thought to the aftermath. I describe you as Cultists as well. Your thinking is fixed, firm and immutable. There is no truth but your truth. And that will never do.

I am pleased we may have found a benefactor. I hope it works out. When it does, I would like all you Doubting Thomases to thank him/her for saving your businesses.

Its too late for the 100 pubs in Scotland, and its too late for the 1000 pubs in Ireland, and the thousands of good people now on the dole.

You still have time to make a change. Do the right thing. Fight for choice.

Sorry fonticide again. The ban is inevitable. Big T isn't fighting the ban. There is something telling about that Big T knows that its a fight that won't be won. but won't really affect it. People will still smoke. They don't care about your business because theirs is ok thanks. I would legalise all drugs by 5pm today. Collect the taxes and let the users shop in the comfort of Boots and collect the points. How easy going is that.

Jocosity at whose expense. And what of the traditional English principles of limited government, individual liberty, free markets and peace.

Even assuming there is some nutter out there prepared to put a match to his or her cash reserves, any action will simply lead to some lawyers becoming a little wealthier.

No one, but no one, will get to smoke in pubs after OneSeven - that is absolutely immovable and anyone who thinks it isn't needs certifying!
