Sounds like a compelling case to short the shares.

Litre of beer battle begins > Litre of beer battle begins

Anybody remember the Bier Kellars of mid 70's? Stand on tables singing with the oompah band, and drinking from a litre glass (well 1.5 pints actually, to be legal). Star leisure I seem to recall, and they had a good 5 years, and then............. I agree with most comments here. What a waste of our Court's time

Could it also be that the footie season has not started yet, or are we talking last seasons actions?

BII rent review roadshows > RE: BII rent review roadshows

This can only be applauded, however as it is said the new hearings on the original TISC report will be debated, I wonder how the view that Tied pubs should be no worse off than FOT will fare. Pubcos, and the ruling RICS, reject this argument. Still, be good to hear it publicly stated.

CVC to launch Punch bid? > CVC to launch Punch bid?

Thanks Nigel. It is therefore now a fact.

CVC to launch Punch bid? > CVC to launch Punch bid?

Nigel, I think you have mentioned several times that brewers provide at least 3 months credit. Is this a fact?

Terminating Lease Agreement > Terminating Lease Agreement

Michael, if you do not have the cooling off period, which anyway may well have expired, then I regret to say that you are at the mercy of the BDM/RM or whoever. Can only suggest you have an open and honest coversation and take it from there.

Inez, you are of coure quite correct, and the market is indeed fickle. I was mainly trying to address what appeared to be the understanding of how something could be worth £700m if it owed £5bn. I'm not sure what you mean by clarity and transparency in the context of share price?

RE: CVC to launch Punch bid? > RE: CVC to launch Punch bid?

The original post seems to have been overlooked. I am by no means the City Editor, but would just comment that insolvency is just not a debate. Shareholders currently value their investment at C£700m which is AFTER considering the Companies' c£5Bn borrowings. If one bought shares 3 weeks ago, the return is c40%.

RE: BBC reveals hygiene breaches > RE: BBC reveals hygiene breaches

Couldn't agree more. Whilst some practices were clearly unacceptable, the footage was set up. Ten days of working undercover to get 2 minutes TV of bad practice? Then again, that's how the News of the World makes money.
