Carling goes mobile
Coors is launching a new service enabling customers to find the nearest pub to them that sells Carling.
By texting 'beer' to a special number - 83400 - on their mobile phones, customers in London get access to a WAP site which locates the nearest pub with Carling to their postcode.
It also enables mobile users to give pubs a rating on three different criteria, which will then become a listing for other drinkers.
Ringtones are also available from the site for 50p, as well as free Carling wallpapers for phones.
Andy Cray, Carling brand director, said: "We see mobile as a key interactive platform to really reach consumers at the point of consumption, where the brand message can be the most meaningful. It has a lot more potential than just as extension of the web."
