Norfolk couple admit flouting smoke ban

A Norfolk licensee couple have pleaded guilty to 11 counts of flouting the smoking ban.

Martin and Karen Turver of the Dog & Partridge in East Wretham faced 15 counts of flouting the ban on three separate occasions last year.

Three counts of failing to prevent smoking and a charge against Mrs Turver for smoking in a public place were dropped.

But Mr Turver admitted failing to prevent smoking on the premises on 25 July and twice on 31 August, smoking in a public place and obstructing a council officer.

Mrs Turver pleaded guilty to six counts of failing to prevent smoking on 25 July and 4 and 31 August.

The case has been adjourned until 9 May.
