Alton's Pride is Champion Beer of Britain
Triple fff's Alton's Pride has been crowned Champion Beer of Britain at the Campaign for Real Ale's Great British Beer Festival.

Alton's Pride is described as a 3.8% abv "golden brown session bitter with a forward hoppy aroma and a long bitter finish".
Triple fff brewery is based at Four Marks in Hampshire. Head brewer is Graham Trott, who turned to brewing in 1997 with a five barrel estate. Trott recently invested £750,000 in new equipment to increase the barrel run to 50 and he currently produces 4,000 barrels a year.
“We are over the moon and delighted to put Alton as a brewery back on the map," said Trott.
"I would like to thank everyone who is connected with the brewery and we look forward to more people enjoying our winning beer.”
MA beer expert Roger Protz, one of the judges, said, “A magnificent victory for a craft brewery that opened in 1997 with a five barrel plant and has just opened a new brewhouse with a 50 barrel kit.
"It has grown due to consumer demand for its rich and complex beer and proves that the future for real ale in Britain is assured.”
Beckstones Black Dog Freddy scooped the silver award with bronze going to Wickwar's Station Porter.
