Tenanted pub operator London Town has appointed Billy Buchanan as its new chief executive officer.

London Town has appointed new chief exec

Buchanan will combine the role with that of chief financial officer on the board and he takes over from Richard Grundy who has been appointed development director.

Ian Robinson, formerly executive chairman, will become non executive chairman.

The 280-strong tenanted group has also appointed Nigel Le Quesne to the board as non executive director, replacing David Beech.

"I am delighted to welcome Billy Buchanan to the board — he brings with him a great deal of business experience and I look forward to working with him in the future," said Robinson.

"I also look forward to working with Nigel Le Quesne who will in his role as a non executive director bring a breadth of commercial experience and be able to provide general counsel and support to the board."
