Barracuda opens new hotel

Barracuda has opened its latest hotel following a £1.85m refurbishment.

Ye Olde Griffin: £1.85m investment

The managed operator opened the 10-bedroom Ye Olde Griffin in March, Cambridgeshire last week under the Smith & Jones brand.

Licensee of Ye Olde Griffin, John Mannix, said: “The hotel has been beautifully restored and we’ve worked with the building where possible to keep a traditional feel so that people find it a relaxing place to visit.

“There’s definitely something for everyone here – because there are a number of different areas in the pub, we’ve created little pockets or snugs. For example, we’ve got a ‘quiet room’ which is perfect for catching up with a newspaper or meeting friends for afternoon tea and a few pastries."

The venue will also be offering a carvery on Sundays.
