Best Bar None heads for Canada
Social responsibility awards scheme Best Bar None (BBN) is heading for Canada after its success in the UK.
Representatives from Alberta’s Gaming & Liquor Commission, Social Responsibility attended the BBN conference in Doncaster and visited the scheme in Reading last month.
They will now be exporting the initiative, which rewards pubs for adopting socially responsible methods, to Canada.
“We were delighted to be approached by the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission with the view to adopting the scheme in Canada," said BBN chairman Lord Redesdale.
"In the UK we have seen the positive impact BBN has made to over 80 town centres across the UK and we look forward to hearing about more success from across the Atlantic. Perhaps this will be the first of many international schemes.”
