Pubco inquiry faces short delay

The inquiry into how pubcos treat tenants faces a short delay because of the economic crisis.

Inquiry is set for short delay

Oral hearings for the Business & Enterprise Committee probe are set to take place over the coming weeks and months.

But Peter Luff MP, chairman of the Business & Enterprise Committee, told the Morning Advertiser: “There’s likely to be a short delay in the oral hearings because the committee wants to address the current economic crisis.”

He said he expects delays will last no more than a few weeks. The committee is meeting today to discuss what action to take.

The deadline for written submissions into the inquiry ended on 29 September.

Luff said he was “very pleased” with the submissions but did not have figures for how many had been sent.
