UK start for NZ Steinlager
A premium New Zealand bottled beer that flags up the purity of its ingredients is ready to hit the UK on-trade.
Steinlager Pure has been successfully trialed through select premium-end London outlets since February this year and brand owner Lion Nathan is now ready to embark on a full UK launch.
The beer, which is a premium variant of the original Steinlager brand, was originally launched in its native New Zealand in 2007, backed by a marketing campaign that highlighted the beer’s “no additives, no preservatives” message.
“Steinlager Pure brings something really new to the market — a premium beer that has this reverance for the flavours of nature,” said UK marketing director Larni Wedd.
“The purity of this product has been reflected in an innovative bottle design that clearly distinguishes this beer from other premium world lagers.”
