Orchid takes on KFC and McDonalds
Orchid has launched a family food offer which aims to compete with McDonalds and KFC.
The family feast deal is available across 80 of the company’s free house dining pubs and offers for £9.99 four 4oz cheese burgers, two kids’ burgers and baked beans, coleslaw and chips.
An Orchid spokeswoman said: “In a climate where it seems every company is jumping on the value bandwagon, the Orchid Group is adding even more quality and value to its family offer. This will allow Orchid to compete with the likes of McDonald’s/KFC, but without sacrificing quality.”
The company also runs a Two for One menu in these pubs. The company has also installed weekend carvery units in 18 of the free house dining pubs, which have seen a 12% increase in sales as a result.
All sites also run a two course Sunday Special to with a set price between £7.50 and
£8.95.
Orchid also offers a ‘Our Family’ Reward Card, which awards customers points for every pound spent and was launched in August last year. The scheme has 3,5000 families signed up with weekly sign ups running at 2,500.
