Bacardi Oro changes name to Bacardi Gold
Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands is to change the name of its Bacardi Oro rum to Bacardi Gold rum from 1 July.
The renaming has been introduced to align the proiduct's identity with all other Bacardi rum markets across the globe. The Spanish translation of Oro is Gold.
Liam Newton, director of marketing for Bacardi rum said: “Changing the name of Bacardi Oro rum to Bacardi Gold rum will create worldwide consistency for the product. This change will not impact on the taste and BacardiGold rum will continue to be made to the same flavour profile and high quality standards that Don Facundo Bacardi Massó set down in 1862.”
