St Austell buys four Punch pubs
Cornish-based brewer and operator has bought four freehold pubs from Punch Taverns.
St Austell: acquired four new pubs
The pubs are all based in the South West with the deals likely to be completed by early July.
The purchase of the four leased pubs (three in Cornwall and one in Devon) will increase St Austell Brewery’s pub estate to 173.
“We are delighted to have purchased these sites. All are high quality businesses and their locations fit extremely well with our current portfolio of pubs and hotels," said St Austell Brewery estate director Adam Luck.
"We are very proud of our pub business and look forward to welcoming the existing tenants and their teams to the St Austell Brewery estate."
The pubs being acquired are the: Borough Arms, Bodmin; Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth; The Cove, Coverack, Helston; Landewednack, The Lizard, Helston.
The latest investment follows a £700,000 spend on a new Cornish distribution centre in St Cloumb.
