Tradeteam scoops top honours at awards bash
Drinks distribution firm Tradeteam scooped two awards at the Motor Transport Awards.
The Birmingham-based firm won the gongs for Haulier of the Year and Customer Care at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Tradeteam has invested heavily in training schemes, account management and a centralised customer service contact centre. It also runs a monthly "Employee Excellence Awards" scheme to incentivise staff.
"We are obviously thrilled to win both awards," said commercial director Alastair Isbister.
"Within this tough economic climate it’s more important that ever to be able to understand, and exceed the needs of our customers and publicans. These awards acknowledge we are doing just that.”
Motor Transport editor Justin Stanton told the audience on the evening: “Your ability to overcome the challenges of the past year is a beacon to UK industry, and it makes us fiercely proud to stage these awards and to highlight the outstanding work being carried out by so many different transport businesses.”
Tradeteam also secured an eight-year £12m deal to distribute drinks on behalf of Welsh brewer and operator SA Brain this week. It already has deals in place with Coors and InBev.
