Pen-y-cae Inn is Britain's best pub
Best of the Best: Mid Wales freehold pub Pen-y-cae Inn has been named Pub of the Year at the Morning Advertiser’s 2009 Great British Pub Awards.
The Powys pub, which specialises in simple, fresh food made with local ingredients, is run by Anthony Christopher — pictured left with head waiter Marcus Beritez. Christopher received the overall prize at the glittering ceremony in London last night.
