Sharp’s Winter Berry Ale

A beer created from sloes, rosehips and hawthorn berries is the latest in the Sharp’s Brewery Seasonal range.

Winter Berry Ale was created by the brewery and the Eden Project — berries were picked at the project’s site in Bodelva in October.

The 4.3% ABV cask-conditioned beer has a dark ruby colour and is full of vibrant berry flavours, according to the brewery.

The beer is available in pubs across the country and in the Eden Project’s restaurants and bars.

Sharp’s James Nicholls said: “We believe we’ve got the right mix of character, flavour and depth in the beers that will appeal, not only to traditional cask beer drinkers, but to all consumers looking to satisfy an inquisitive palate.”

The Seasonals range for Sharp’s uses unusual and sometimes forgotten plant products — unearthed by the Eden team.
