RE: Globe Pub Co beer volumes down 8% Surely, getting smokers back into pubs isn't the answer is it? As a non-smoker myself, I prefer going to and working in pubs now than before the ban. I understand the smoking ban has affected some pubs badly but it can't be just the smoking ban can it? This post replies to this thread |

RE: Globe Pub Co beer volumes down 8% They would have you believe not. Our sales were growing month by month, year by year. Real increases, not because of price rises. This all stopped when the ban came in, we have been lucky to retain turnover but that means we are now in recession. On top of this massive increases in cost base through the utilities means margins are being squeezed
