Shrewsbury licensee Lisa Anslow has been enjoying a couple of weeks in the television limelight as one of 10 girls vying for the attention of Mr Right. Lisa, who runs the Punch-owned Station Hotel with her mum Carole, graced the television screens on ITV's latest reality show called Mr Right, in which contestants have been trying to win the affections of Lance Gerrard-Wright. Sadly, it was soon last orders for the 29-year-old beauty, who was one of two girls voted off by the ex-army major at the first hurdle. But Carole told Snifter her daughter had no regrets about being booted out. "We are all very proud of her and the customers were glued to the screen when last week's show went out live. "They have all been so supportive. Although he said he wanted a forthright woman, I don't think he liked the way Lisa spoke her mind over him not saying goodbye at the end of their date. "That's Lisa all over. She is very bubbly and direct but she won't tolerate rudeness. I think she was too hot for him to handle." So it's back to pulling pints for Lisa, who has been running the pub with her mum for the past two years. Despite Lisa's demise, Snifter is still in with a chance with fellow contestant Nicola Browning, who received most viewers' votes in last week's programme. Nicola is known to most of the Morning Advertiser staff in her prior role as communications manager for Sky Sports. Needless to say who we will now be rooting for.
