Trouble House Tetbury Gloucestershire My Christmas wish is for customers to be more understanding, especially parents who come here with their children for a meal and then allow their kids to run around and annoy other diners and do nothing to stop them. We also operate traditional pub hours here, closing at 3pm and only serving food until 9.30pm, but many people still come in later and complain when we won't feed them. Marcus Welford The Olive Branch Clipsham Leicestershire I want to see the continued resurgence in the village pub. This is certainly what we're about, being a focal point for the local community to get together. I also hope the small local breweries perform as well as they have this year because this has to be good for the industry. Mike Ashworth The Royal Oak, Mellor nr Marple, Cheshire Since we moved in here in August, my partner has fallen pregnant so it's going to be extremely busy next year running a pub with a new baby and my wish is that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Of course we would like to see margins improve because they are very tight in the pub industry at the moment. I would wish for the return to old opening hours on Sundays when local people knew everyone would be in the busy pub at lunchtime.
