Yates Group will be parting company with its property director Tim Meggitt. Mild ale revival Mild ale is undergoing a mini-revival, with nearly 150 brands being brewed today compared with less than 100 around 20 years ago. This fact came to light during research by the Campaign for Real Ale which will celebrate National Mild Day this Saturday. Baumann moves on Tony Baumann from Refresh UK has joined Thwaites as national on-trade sales manager. Baumann will now promote beers such as Warsteiner and Kaltenberg. At the same time, Refresh UK chief executive Rupert Thompson has relocated from Trowbridge to the Wychwood office in Witney, though his former office remains to handle Ushers, Lowenbrau and other brands. Thompson said his move reflects the importance of Thames valley beers in the Refresh portfolio.
