The Federation Brewery has relaunched its Venom ready-to-drink (RTD) with two extra flavours and a sexy, new "snakeskin" label to attract the core younger drinkers. The 5.3% abv Venom, available in 275ml bottles, now comes in pomegranate and raspberry-flavoured Red, and Iron, which includes Irn Bru. The label has been produced using a combination of rotary letterpress and silk-screen printing to give the texture and appearance of snakeskin complete with scales. The launch is accompanied by a series of adverts, starting this month, featuring a naked man and woman whose bodies appears to be part-snakeskin. It is accompanied by the catchline: "There's a bit of venom in all of us." Trade promotions manager Stephen Wanless said: "The ads are really going to turn heads. "They convey the brand's fashionable, desirable and sensual image and, like the product, were developed with the core 18-24 year-old age group in mind." He added: "We've carried out tests with four focus groups and Venom has gone down a storm." Adverts for Venom will also run on the sides of taxis, escalators, postcards, posters and on radio station Galaxy 105.
