Litten Tree, Blackpool

"Labour but it will be with a significantly reduced majority, which will be a good thing because it should mean that there'll be a more forceful opposition.I have never believed huge majorities werehealthy for democracy so hopefully we should seequite a different House of Commons elected. ButI think there will be a few surprises especially in marginal seats wherethe contest could be a lot closer."

Dave Daley

NALHM President, Cahoots, Blackpool

"I think it will be Labour and we will get more of the same over the next four years or so. Ihave to say I have never experienced an election where there has been so little interest. It is nothing like the old days of electioneering when there was real passion displayed by the parties. Our pub is predominantly the 20 to 23-year-olds age group and the election has bypassed them."

Matt Jackson

The Water Witch, Lancaster

"Whoever wins we will have a Conservative government on Friday because there is little to choose between the two main parties. It's been a very quiet election which has not excitedanyone but in our pubthere is a firm no politics or religion' policy. Nobody appears to be showingmuch interest so theelection has been a bit of a non-starter as far as I can see."

David Heyes

Garsdale Inn, Brandlesholme, Bury

"I think the status quo will prevail but I expect the Liberal Democrats to gain quite a few seats on the night. It will mean Labour having a reduced majorityso things will be a littlemore competitive in Parliament. That should provide for a more effective opposition."
