Ember Inns is asking its customers with unwanted Christmas presents to donate them to charity.
All 171 Ember Inns across the country are set to become charity 'donation stations' from Boxing Day onwards and are inviting people to bring in gifts, from socks to CDs and books to board games.
All presents collected will be given to charity or auctioned off in the pubs to raise money for a good cause.
More than 60 UK charities, including Acorns, Mencap, Meningitis UK and the British Lung Foundation are set to benefit from this initiative.
Jane White, senior marketing manager at Ember Inns, said:
"All we are asking is that if people have received a gift that would make someone else really happy please take it to a 'donation station' near you.
Alternatively, people could buy an extra small present when they're doing their Christmas shopping and give this to the donation station. We're not asking people to spend a fortune - it's the thought that counts."
