Morning Advertiser will be taking the Plan for the Ban campaign to the road from next month with a series of shows to help licensees ensure they are prepared for the big stub-out.

Six pubs across the country will host road-show sessions offering hints and tips during February and March.

Representatives from the pubs will discuss their

experiences, and expert speakers from pub

companies will share their knowledge and offer advice.

Tony Holman, managing director of major awnings firm Crown Awnings, will

discuss how pubs can make the best use of outside areas and help clarify the law on smoking shelters.

A local authority representative will also discuss how the ban will be enforced, and there will be a panel

session for licensees to ask questions.

The road show kicks off at the Gate Hangs High in Wrexham on Monday 26 February. It will visit pubs in Worcester (5 March), Crowborough in Kent (12 March), Newquay (19 March), and North Rigton near York (26 March), before ending at the George in Hadleigh, Suffolk on 28 March.

Tickets for the event cost £20, which includes a buffet. See page 28 for a full list of venues and dates.
