³I have noticed the cleaner atmosphere in a spit and sawdust pub near me.² Julian Heart, 36, IT consultant ³For me it¹s great, the smoking ban. I think it¹ll encourage me to stop. The only problem I have is if I¹m around people and having a drink outside, I might just give in.²

³When it first came in loads of pubs were very quiet, I noticed that. I always sat in no-smoking areas anyway, but now it seems pubs are more sociable. There¹s so many people who don¹t smoke, but because there¹s that small minority who do smoke, they used to take over.²
