The Victoria in London's W2 has been awarded the Griffin trophy as Fuller's pub of the year.

Licensees Chris Cochran and Helen Wilson collected the award after impressing judges with the pub's appearance, quality of ales, food, atmosphere, commitment and their enthusiasm.

The triumph caps a great year for the Victoria, which won the City Pub of the Year category in the Griffin Trophy last year, and appeared in this year's Camra Good Beer Guide - the pub's fifth consecutive appearance.

"The Victoria is an outstanding pub that is well loved and cared for," said chairman Michael Turner.

"The pub attracts a wide range of customers, and Chris and Helen have a great relationship with the local community and a number of clubs and societies.

"Chris and Helen are extremely hardworking, they are excellent managers and are a real asset to Fuller's and should be very proud of their achievements. They have a real passion for their pub and continue to amaze me with their creative ideas."
