More 'mature' drinkers proved they also had more bottle when they posed for a semi-nude charity calendar striking various poses around a Norwich pub.
The calendar was set up to raise money for local independent charity Hemsby Lifeboat - yet at the last minute most of the 20-somethings who said they would take part bottled it.
Fortunately the slightly older Gordon customers stepped into the breach - including licensee Carolyn Slater, 62, who donned a pair of stockings and not much else, to pose in the pub's smoking shelter. She said: "We decided to do a calendar because there were so many good looking lads and girls coming into the pub. But bit by bit the youngsters let us down - one guy wouldn't even take his T-shirt off. In the end there were four youngsters in their early twenties and the rest were forties plus."
Calendars are being sold at £10 each and Slater aims to raise £1,500 for the local life boat charity. In the first few days alone, 55 calendars had been sold.
